“You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a man is wise by his questions.” – Naguib Mahfouz
Cleverness can get a bad rep. I think it has a place. I am quite certain though wisdom is far more useful over the long term, and it should be the more important goal. What do you think?
I just found out, via fortune cookie, that quiet faith will soon bring me boundless rewards.
This is now your fortune as well, congratulations!
I’m absorbing it all. We all are. We always have. But in today’s world we absorb far more than we used to. Most people are crippled by the sheer magnitude of inspiration and opportunity. Find a way to harvest it. Resist weakness. Then, you will be one of the few that have harness the immense power surrounding us all. I plan to do just that.
You can only approach perfection. I’m no mathematician but I know this tracks with some math ideas.
Shoot for 99%
99% of your ultimate ideals
99% of the time I will do what is true to my nature. Do what I believe I am meant to do.
Build and maintain beautiful relationships.
Beautiful spaces.
Inspire others to hit their own 99%.
I don’t know what I need to do to do this. But if I live in accordance with my own nature, and with the nature of the universe, then I will achieve these things which I truly believe to be in my own nature, and the nature of the universe, which guides me.
Making some changes to start realizing my life mission and enjoying the moment more. Mission and Moment. To start this transition I plan to live a simple life of hard physical work, lots of time in nature, and time with friends & family. A life of learning and writing. Self denial. Going to do this faithfully for some time and see what follows. I am fairly certain that this will naturally lead to me being more fulfilled and working hard to achieve my larger aspirations. After I get steam going and improve energy and discipline, I will add some hard set work time to my schedule.
If this works, it will look like this: I improve the condition of my mind, body, and soul while establishing a solid routine. I then add time to work towards my larger aspirations into said routine. My additional energy and creativity will help me work diligently through all of my routine. Writing here on this blog will be part of my growth as it helps me sort out my ideas and also holds me accountable to my new plans and ideas.
I’m Louie and this is my blog; hence the name. No one had bought Louie.blog but it costs me $220/year because it’s a “premium” domain. Louie.blog is short and memorable; says the domain dealers. Perhaps some day I’ll break even or make a little profit off this, but that’s not why I’m doing it. I don’t even care if people read it. Okay… I care a little bit. If people read it I’ll write better stuff too. Here we go.
I’m an incredibly optimistic and joyous person. I love to laugh at the world just as much as I love to be a part of it. I’m mostly interested in being interesting and being interested. Those are two of my primary objectives. I will regularly write short blog posts here about whatever I please. The blog will take shape as I continue to live, learn, and write. Thanks for showing up.
